Nico Marais

Nico is a director and heads our Conveyancing Department and specializes in property transfers, property developments and bond registrations, property consolidations and – subdivisions, servitudes and general commercial contracts. He settled in Mossel Bay in 1997 and was appointed as a director of our firm on 1 March 1999.

Nico grew up in Bethlehem in the Free State. He obtained his B.Proc degree from the University of the Free State in 1991 and completed his articles of clerkship with Naudes Attorneys (now Phatshoane Henney Attorneys) in Bloemfontein. He was admitted as an Attorney in April 1994. Nico obtained a Diploma in Deceased Estates Practice from the University of South Africa in 2001 and was also admitted as a Conveyancer in 2003.

He served on the board of the Mossel Bay Business Chamber for more than a decade. Nico has a passion for travel and is a keen golfer and hunter, but he especially enjoys caravan camping with his family over the summer holidays.
